On Sunday, 8th June 2026, District 35 came together for a fantastic community event, hosting a Bunnings BBQ to raise funds for charity in support of the Grand Master’s Sleep Out initiative. The day was a great example of what can be achieved when members unite around a shared purpose: helping people experiencing homelessness.
From early morning, volunteers rolled up their sleeves, fired up the barbecue, and welcomed a steady stream of shoppers with the irresistible smell of sausages and onions. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with plenty of smiles, conversations, and community spirit on display throughout the day.
The funds raised will go towards the Grand Master’s Sleep Out initiative, which shines a light on the realities of homelessness and raises much-needed resources for those doing it tough.
ON THE WORKING TOOLS

By participating in this initiative, District 35 is proud to play a small but meaningful role in helping make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers who donated their time, to Bunnings for providing the venue and support, and to everyone in the community who stopped by to purchase a sausage and contribute to the cause. Your generosity and support are truly appreciated.
Events like this remind us that even simple acts—like sharing a meal—can have a powerful impact. District 35 looks forward to continuing its support for charitable initiatives and strengthening the bonds within our community.
