About Us

Freemasons NSW & ACT – Region 3 is a vibrant and well‑established Masonic region serving communities across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, united by shared values of integrity, respect, fellowship, and service.
Region 3 comprises 11 Districts, collectively representing 72 Lodges. These Lodges operate throughout metropolitan, regional, and rural areas, forming a strong network of Freemasons committed to personal growth, mutual support, and positive community involvement.
Our Lodges and Districts work collaboratively to:
- Promote moral and ethical development
- Support charitable and benevolent initiatives
- Foster leadership, mentorship, and lifelong learning
- Strengthen community connections and social responsibility
Guided by the enduring principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, Freemasons of Region 3 are proud of our history and focused on the future. We are committed to maintaining strong traditions while remaining relevant and accessible to new generations of Freemasons.
Whether you are a current member, a prospective Freemason, or simply interested in learning more, we welcome you to explore Region 3 and discover the positive impact Freemasonry continues to have across NSW and the ACT.

Connecting and Supporting Our Masonic Community
The Regional Grand Counsellor (RGC), together with the District Grand Inspector of Workings (DGIW), play an integral and essential part in the smooth and effective functioning of the region and districts. Their combined roles and responsibilities ensure that all operations run efficiently and in accordance with established standards.
