The Grand Master’s Winter Sleepout 2026
Last year, Freemasons NSW & ACT demonstrated the true strength of our fraternity through action. Through the generosity and commitment of Brethren and the work of Masonicare, we made the single largest charitable donation in our organisation’s history — $150,000 to the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. This achievement was more than a figure; it was a powerful statement of compassion, unity, and our shared responsibility to support those experiencing homelessness in our communities.

Building on that momentum, we now invite all Brethren to take part in the Grand Master’s Winter Sleepout 2026, to be held on 13 June 2026 across NSW & ACT.

This statewide initiative brings together Lodges, Districts, and Masonic Centres for a night of awareness and solidarity. Participants will sleep out in cold, simple conditions — not to replicate homelessness, but to pause, reflect, and remember those who face these conditions every night without choice. It is a symbolic act that deepens understanding, strengthens fellowship, and supports the vital work of organisations helping the homeless.

How You Can Be Involved
- Participate in your local Lodge or District Sleepout
- Contribute $50 in support of Masonicare
- Take part in local fundraising activities
- Help raise awareness within your community
Each local event may also include guest speakers from homelessness services and opportunities to direct funds to community-based charities, making a real difference.

To get involved, contact your RMM, RGC, or DGIW, who will provide details specific to your area or click the registration button below.

Even one night can leave a lasting impact — on those we support, and on ourselves. This winter, let us again show that Freemasonry is not only a fraternity of values, but a fraternity of action.
